Life Update

Hey everyone!

I know it's been awhile since I last posted, but my life has been really hectic lately,
and I haven't truly had the chance to sit and even put a thought into making a post.
But I'm hoping now that I've gotten used to the speed my life is going at I can find
the time to sit down a write a good blogpost. Not one that I just one because I hadn't done one in some time.

So the real reason for this post is, what has Megan been up to?

Actually a lot really, since my last post I have completed high school, well at least my victory lap.
I applied for university and actually got early acceptance into the school I was aiming for. After,
completing my semester of high school, I got offered a full-time position at my job, so I've
been putting my energy all into working very hard to keep my boss and co-worker happy.

I've also taken this time to really spend time with my family and friends, my boyfriend is still in school and is back every two weeks on the weekend, so I spend most of my weekend glued to him. As well
as spending as much time as I can with my bestie before I go away to school.
As for family, I've been spending lots of time with my mom at the gym getting into
a healthier lifestyle, as well as my sister. My mom and I actually just came back from a trip at the
beginning of the month after spending a couple days with my sister in her town.
We also took this opportunity to go visit my Nonno (Italian for "Grandpa"), who was
recently hospitalized.

So far I've had a lot of positives in my life and I'm finally thankful and comfortable with the way my life
is that the moment. That goes without saying that there were some negative bits, like drama with
ex-friends and drama within my own family. But I try to look past these as they tend to cause
me to feel more down and even sick if I focus too much on them.

Would you like to know another positive?

I plan on returning to my blog most definitely I won't be blogging everyday, I definitely don't have time for that. But I am aiming for at least one blog post a week. I think that's manageable, as for ideas I plan
on doing a haul of things I've purchased, reviews, make-up tutorials and whatever else I feel.

Sorry for the rambling post, I guess we all have to have one of the these.

Ciao xoxo
P.S. Remember to stay positive, there's always light in the darkest of places

Boohoo Haul

Hello everyone! I know it's been a while since my last post but I really wanted to share this recent purchase. My mother had come across this site and said the prices were amazing and so were the clothes, so I had a little look and immediately fell in love with the clothes and ordered some pieces.

The website was; http://www.boohoo.com/
It's a U.K based store but the best part is that it ships to the United States and Canada (yay!) which I find hard to find, most U.K based stores that I like only ship to the U.S :(

My whole order came up to $64.00 (Canadian) originally 80.00 but there was 20% that day (bonus!)

The skater skirt was $24.00, the crop top was $12.00, the "Geek" jumper was $24.00 and the black disco pants were $20.00 (: I ordered them on the 29th of January and then arrived this Monday, which was really quick for free shipping. Oh! For Canadian orders if you spend $25 on the site you get free shipping which is amazing as most sites are $50 and higher.

Now the subject of clothes they are so well made and great quality, I am beyond impressed with this order, and next pay-check I'm definitely ordering some more clothes. Quick note though the clothing sizes are in  U.K sizes so be sure to check on the conversion chart to figure out your actual size. Especially if your ordering from a different country, I nearly bought clothes in a size 2 (definitely not that petite).

The site is definitely checking out, I think you`ll love in just as I have, good-bye Forever21 and hello Boohoo!!

My Everyday Make-up Routine

I thought I would do another blog post as my e-learning course website is on the fritz again.
And sadly, I can't access any of my work so this is still productive, I guess.
So in the end, I thought I would show you my everyday make-up routine.
It's pretty simple, as I don't wear much just enough to make me look awake, cover up blemishes. I only tend to wear more make-up on special occasions or if I'm feeling daring.
List of items below;

*Left to Right*
Summer fruit EOS lip balm
Rimmel "Stay Matte" pressed powder
Benefit "Dallas" blush
Rimmel "Exaggerate" black liner
NYC lipstick "Mahongany"
Rimmel "Clean Finish" foundation
Maybelline "Fit Me" concealer
Essence eyebrow pencil - brown hair
Benefit "they're Real!" mascara

Ignore the goofy face still getting used to the camra, lord I need help. By the way, my eyebrow pencil does match my hair colour but for some reason the lighting has made them a light brown.
Anyway, I know this routine isn't anything special but I thought I would share, as I myself enjoy reading these blog posts. Feel free to leave a comment below letting me know what other posts you would like to see.

Review: Benefit "they're Real!" mascara

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you are looking forward to 2013 like I am,
fresh starts and resolutions, mine being eating healthier and doing more blog posts. :)
Starting off the New Year I thought I would do a review of a mascara I've been trying out.

That being the Benefit "they're Real!" mascara

I have always heard amazing reviews about Benefit products, and I already own the
Dallas blush which is an amazing colour. So this one has been on my wish list for months!
Luckily, for Christmas my mom bought it for me (yay!)

Its a plastic bristle brush, which isn't my ideal kind of mascara wand, but what can you do it works just the same. Something I find most fascinating about this product is the wand has a round edge
that are coated in bristles. This literally grabs the smaller lashes in the inner corner of your eye
making your eyes look either fuller, personally. I know I have had a few experiences with trying to coat these inner lashes and ending up poking my eye (ouch!).

The product says that the mascara will length but more importantly gives your eyes a fuller lash and
gives the "fake lash" effect. I agree with this 100%, I have been using this product for about three weeks now and I no longer have to use an eyelash curler before applying. No more painful accidents (!)

*Disclaimer* pardon the unruly eyebrows and lack of blemish covering up

Before:

After:

All in all, this has definitely become my new found mascara and I definitely can see
myself repurchasing this in the future. Benefit "they're Real!" costed my mom $29.00 dollars (Canadian) and was purchased at Shopper's Drug Mart. This would be £17.99 in the UK, and $29.83 in the United States. Yes, I'm that much of a goof I did the currency.
